St. Cecilia Soda Company
St. Cecilia Soda Company is a small Latina-owned natural soda company located in Austin, Texas. Tania DeGregorio and Michelle Beebe named their soda company after the patron saint of music out of love for their city and personal passions for music. Each small batch of St. Cecilia Soda is carb-free, gluten-free, sugar-free, and GMO-free.
The two best friends and business partners call themselves “grateful mommies” and describe Daytripper soda as “a bright, sunny, fizzy citrus blend with bursts of pink grapefruit and blood orange.”
After Hours Espresso Martinis
Après Hours is a new canned espresso martini line from two of its founding members, Nicole Craven and Alexis Smith. The brand officially launched in Dallas on August 1st and is available at select liquor stores around the city and online with delivery in 39 states.
“Raising the money to make this idea happen was not what we expected,” says Craven. “The reality is that the alcohol industry is male-dominated, and many did not believe that two young female entrepreneurs would even make it to the production stage. It was deflating and motivating at the same time, but we believed in our product and mission and pushed until we found our perfect financial partners.
These initial struggles made the Dallas buyers’ sudden success and warm Après Hours reception all the sweeter. Their first batch sold out the day it hit store shelves.
“We hope to inspire other women and girls to start their own businesses. That’s why we’ve established the Après Hours grant program, which helps finance start-ups founded by women.
The goal of the program is to streamline the fundraising process for women and girls to start their own business. Applications are now being accepted and the first grant recipient will be announced on January 17, 2023.
Architect Milan Jordan created Cultured Kombucha on purpose to diversify the health and wellness lifestyle. After taking a kombucha brewing class and hosting a kombucha pot luck, Jordan was inspired to start selling his beer at farmers markets, and the brand took off.
“Google wellness and look at the pictures,” said Jordan. “You see a trend that needs to be broken. Wellbeing definitely has a competition problem.”

The brews are named after 90s hip-hop and R&B songs. Popular flavors include: Can I Kick It (Ginger Basil), PYT (Rosemary Lime) and I Used to Love Her (Honey Apple).
Otherland Society Rum
Otherland Society Rum is the project of Donia Roberts and renowned master distiller Marianne Eaves. They collaborated to create Wild Hare Dark Rum, a rum that expresses the subtleties of Floridian culture. The artisanal spirit of Otherland Society’s inaugural Sugar Cane debuted at the Michelin Guide event in Orlando, where Florida’s first Michelin stars were awarded for excellence in culinary achievement.
“Wild Hare Dark Rum is a marriage of 8-year-old South American and 10-year-old Caribbean rum, aged in used American white oak whiskey barrels,” Eaves said of curating this rum project. “Sweet spices and the character of vanilla oak in the aroma, tropical fruits in the taste and soft, lingering coffee and vanilla spices, balanced with sweet berries, the result is a rich, dark alcohol that is comparable to the best rums. supermarket.”
Roberts and his investment partners will soon begin building the distillery and bottling distribution facility in Pahokee, Fla., as a catalyst for local talent and products and job creation.

Hoopes Vineyards is named after generations of grape growers in the Hoopes family, which includes former San Francisco Assistant District Attorney Lindsay Hoopes. A natural born wine enthusiast, grew up on a farm that plays in the middle of vineyards. He joined his father, Spencer Hoopes, on their daily walks along the vines, and the Hoopes household often had discussions centered around growth cycles and brand strategy. He currently lives and works on the same farm, respecting his family’s heritage and the persistence of perfect wines.
“If you’re a woman in the beverage industry, just existing makes us disruptive by definition,” says Hoopes. “We have to believe in what we do. Sometimes we’re just each other’s advocates.”
