In recent weeks, heavy monsoon rains caused devastating floods that badly damaged some parts of Pakistan. As a result, thousands of people from Punjab, Balochistan, Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have shifted from their homes to shelters.
In Pakistan, the most affected region was Swat, also known as Mini Switzerland. The affected areas of Swat lack basic services such as good roads, electricity and internet, cutting them off from the rest of the country. Markets, villages and even homes were severely affected and destroyed.
Unicef According to reports, about 33 million people, including about 16 million children, have been affected by the devastating rains, floods and landslides. Up to now, up to 7 million people have been temporarily displaced.
LBank, the world’s leading cryptocurrency trading platform, recently took humanitarian aid to communities in Pakistan. The crypto exchange made donations to different villages and visited some of the affected people.
By responding to a donation request, LBank Pakistan team took the initiative to support affected families by providing immediate relief supplies and services to communities.
Allen Wei, CEO of the stock exchange, sympathized with Pakistan. “LBank stands with Pakistan in this terrible time. Our thoughts and prayers are with those who lost loved ones, the many displaced families and those who suffered.”
Allen Wei also urged individuals and organizations to step up and donate generously to the people of Pakistan. He encouraged them to contribute in every possible way and lend a helping hand to speed up Pakistan’s flood relief efforts.
