A multisig wallet associated with Vitalik Buterin just transferred 40K ETH to an unknown address.
A multi-signature Ethereum wallet created by Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin recently transferred around 40,000 ETH worth $47.7 million to an unknown address. This transaction is the first ETH outflow from a wallet address in over six months, after holders made a similar transfer of 30,000 ETH to the same unidentified wallet on May 16.
Chinese blockchain reporter Colin Wu took to Twitter to highlight the recent development. “According to Etherscan, 40,000 ETH were transferred from the multisig address 0x22…3a9d created by Vitalik Buterin to 0xD04…8fd7,” Wu noted on Twitter on Thursday, sharing an Etherscan link to the transaction.

Etherscan data reveals that the trade took place today at 13:42 (UTC). After the outflow, the multisig wallet with the name tag Vb 3 – indicating a connection to Vitalik Buterin – currently holds 250,000 ETH for $298.5 million, making it the 25th. major Holder of ETH at the time of reporting.
A close look at the wallet’s chain activity reveals that holders made a similar transfer to the same unidentified wallet address on May 16 amid the panic triggered by the Terra collapse.
