Tucker joining Yuga Labs
Tucker has previous experience in the field of mobile gaming, having worked as Product Director at GREE and as Game Director at Scopely. Tucker also expressed his excitement about joining Yuga, the organization that owns CryptoPunks and Meebits NFTs, on LinkedIn.
According to Tucker:
“I believe the future of gaming is based on player ownership, social collaboration and creative expression.”
On this matter, Yuga CEO Nicole Muniz said that gaming will be the main focus of the company. That’s noteworthy because the NFT company has four of the five largest collections of Ethereum NFTs ever counted by OpenSea.
Yuga Labs is currently valued at more than $4 billion, and the company raised $450 million in a recent investment round. Yuga Labs employs 60 employees. In addition, the company plans to employ a total of 100 people by the end of 2022.
However, the first Web3 product recently became available in the well-known PC game store, the Epic Games Store. The game in question is Blankos Block Party, an NFT-based creative online game.
Mythical Games’ open beta testing began in December 2020. Additionally, the game’s creator reported in June 2022 that it had amassed over a million players on its official website.
