Stack allows teenagers to start trading and learn about crypto.

Founded in 2021 by Will Rush, Natalie Young and Angela Mascarenas, Seattle-based mobile software company Stack is released an app designed to teach teenagers and their parents about crypto while enabling hands-on experiences like trading.

The company’s goal is to provide an accessible and reliable crypto education option to what crypto influencers can offer on social media platforms like Reddit or Tik Tok.

“All our research on Gen Z shows that they are self-taught, but also that they follow trends that develop in minutes rather than days, months or years. This means that too often TikTok or Reddit is their financial advisor,” Stack said. CEO and founder Will Rush.

The app too provide parental controls for users under the age of 18. The founders emphasize that user accounts are managed based on the Uniform Transfer of Minors Act, which allows parents or legal guardians have ownership of the user account and assets until the child reaches the age of majority.

Despite the detailed training courses, Stack empowers users buy, sell, hold and exchange cryptocurrencies or at least get to know it. After launch, the Stack allows users to trade using Bitcoin (BTC), Ether (ETH), USD Coin (USDC), Sunshine (SUN), Polygon (MATIC)and Litecoin (LTC).

What is more interesting about this application is that it there are no trading fees. The company takes $3.00 monthly fee. However, new users are rewarded with 6 months of free trading.

By news report shared by fintech news site TechCrunch, The company aims to compete with crypto giants like Coinbase and Robinhood.

Generation Z is considered an entrepreneurial generation. As a result, many of them are crypto-curious. Coinbase and FTX have served as consumer access points to crypto through crypto trading and educational content. However, they are beyond the reach of minors – the next generation of consumers.

The app is currently only available for Android.
